Fall clothing

I said when I started this poncho shortly after the Triad Yarn Crawl last Spring that I'd have it done for *a* fall, eventually.  And it is!  I got sunburned yesterday, but today is sweater weather again... simply by merit of my finishing this.

The ruffle was supposed to be tassels but I knew from the outset I would be making some kind of something different for it.  And I learned KFB (knitting front and back) for that ruffle, as well as the initial challenge of learning to cable, which made sense on the needles once I redrew the pattern, because what they meant made sense but wasn't what they drew.

Knitting is good for the brain, but crocheting is SO much easier (not to mention quicker!)
