Ayalas by Beth Moore

Control freak much?

Try a brain reset.

Repeat after Beth Moore.  (I encourage you to read aloud):

I am not in control.

I cannot control my people.
I cannot control our situation.
Even when I want what is best, I cannot control the outcome.

I cannot make people behave.
I cannot make people believe.
I cannot make people be strong.

Because I am not God.
God alone knows the end from the beginning.
God alone knows how this will turn out.

I hereby fire myself from God's job
And I agree to see my fight for control as what it is:
A screaming testament to my distrust.

For this we have Jesus, and for this we need grace.
Thanks be to God; God gives us the victory!

"A time is coming and in fact has come when you will be scattered, each to your own home. You will leave me all alone. Yet I am not alone, for my Father is with me.  I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”    (John 16:32-33)
