Unexpected Roger Miller

After sending my car away with the tow truck (almost certainly the alternator, which we replaced back in February, so hopefully this won't cost us anything but inconvenience)...

Big Frog <watching Barnwood Builders on DIY>: He's not alone, the guy with the steadycam is there with him!
me: You can't use a crowbar and a steadycam at the same time!
Big Frog: But you can be happy if you put your mind to it!

Dick Cavett Show - The Muppets (1971)

I have never seen this piece before -- it's incredible!  It's a glimpse into Jim Henson's mind -- not only Muppets, and not only Sesame Street, but also filmmaking, and puppetry, and assembling Muppets, etc.  Plus, there are some truly retro 70's ads.
(There are at least two points where the screen goes to black instead of going to station identification; just wait them out or roll the playbar a little ways forward until the show comes back.)

Boogie-woogie sheep

I had forgotten entirely about the boogie-woogie sheep! They (& Ernie) tap dance!

Get out of the car, Chuck!

Mashable + Zachary Levi + Bert from Sesame Street created a delightful music video encouraging people to go outdoors!
Bees are always buzzing 'bout the flowers they have seen.
And every tree is trending,
I don't miss my little screen.

By the way, if you're thinking to yourself, "I didn't know Zach sang," think of this: Even if you didn't know he led the Buy Morons in song between takes on the set of Chuck, he sang on Tangled! In fact, if Big Frog and I got to choose, we would cast him as Harold Hill when The Music Man is televised live. We think he'd be a good fit for that kind of flim-flam. (He's just a bang-beat, bell-ringing, big haul, great-go, neck-or-nothing, rip-roaring, every-time-a-bull's-eye salesman.)

Foodporn

Ian: It's like I've died and gone to Canada.

Peter: The correct Canadian pronunciation is, "Sorry, it's a poutine burger."

Miles: Which part of the maple tree does gravy come from?

Read all about The Poutine Burger, on NPR. Drool alert.

The Muppets also have delightfully done Poutine in Montreal
